September 2 - 8 Make some friends, take some chancesWelcome back to the second week of the semester, Beloiters! We hope your first week was filled with excitement, new faces, and a few memorable moments. As we dive deeper into our studies, remember you are not on this journey alone. If you need help — whether it’s with schoolwork, adjusting to campus life, or anything else — don’t hesitate to reach out. There are plenty of resources and people ready to support you. This week, take a moment to step out of your comfort zone: introduce yourself to someone new, join a new club or try a new activity, and embrace the opportunity to grow. The semester’s start is the perfect time to make new connections and explore new interests. Let’s make it a great week! “Media Day” held for first time everBeloit College athletes spent Wednesday striking poses, talking about their favorite things, and making bold season predictions as part of the college’s first “Media Day.” The departments of Athletics and Communications and Marketing partnered to bring all of Beloit’s athletics teams together to take photos and videos, and create content. The content will be used for game recaps, student standout profiles, and for future marketing and recruitment purposes. Thanks to all the coaches and players who participated, and to C&M’s Web Director Scott Zibell and Sports Information Director Sarah Hintz for organizing. Weekly Sports RecapBeloit Women’s soccer kicked off their season Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville which ended in a 4-0 loss. The team battled Saturday in their home opener vs. Webster University losing a 4-3 nail biter that was decided very late in the game. Women’s volleyball headed down to Rockford University to match up against the Regents for their first game of the year. The team had a strong second set, but couldn’t string it together, losing the match 3 sets to 1. |
